The Ford Driving Dreams Latina Entrepreneurs program is a unique new initiative from Ford Motor Company and Ford Motor Company Fund that aims to strengthen and support Latina small-business owners.
The program will provide access to capital, educational resources, networking opportunities and other business development tools for Latina entrepreneurs. As minority-owned small businesses have been especially hard hit during COVID-19 and Hispanics have been disproportionally affected by the pandemic overall, the new initiative is designed to provide critical support for Latina-owned businesses—helping them overcome current challenges and develop plans for future growth.
The program is being implemented in collaboration with eMerge America and the National Development Council and is an extension of Ford Fund’s signature Ford Driving Dreams initiative that provides scholarships and educational resources for middle and high school students.
Program details and guidelines will be shared during a virtual kickoff event on October 27, 2020, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. EDT. Attendees will also hear from panel of Latina entrepreneurs about the obstacles they face and the actionable steps that can be taken to address them.
